2. Carefully relieve fuel pressure.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from each injector.
4. Disconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.
Cover the hoses with a cloth before disconnecting.
5. Loosen the fuel line mounting nuts.
6. Disconnect the fuel line.
7. Remove the injector(s) from the intake manifold.
8. Slide the new shock absorber ring onto the injector.
9. Coat the new sealing ring with clean engine oil and install it on the injector.
10. Insert the injectors into the fuel line. The fuel line together with the injectors will be installed as an assembly. Be careful not to drop the injectors from the fuel line!
11. Coat the new seals with clean engine oil and press them into the intake manifold.
12. Install the fuel line and injectors as an assembly into the manifold.
13. Align the center line of the connector with the mark on the fuel line.
14. Install the fastening nuts and tighten them to 12 Nm.
15. Connect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose to the pressure regulator.
16. Connect the wires to the injector connectors.
17. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, but do not crank the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about two seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line will increase. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leaks.
