2. Carefully relieve fuel pressure.

3. Remove the air cleaner housing.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from each injector.
5. Disconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.
Cover the hoses with a cloth before disconnecting.
6. Disconnect the two ground wires from the intake manifold.
7. Disconnect the fuel lines.
8. Remove the injector from the intake manifold.

Always use new O-rings, seals and shock rings when disassembling. When installing the injector, check that the O-rings are seated correctly. Coat new seals with clean engine oil before reassembling. Install the injector by aligning the center line of the coupling with the index mark on the intake manifold.

9. Slide the new shock absorber ring onto the injector.
10. Install a new sealing ring on the injector.
11. Press the seal into the intake manifold, install the fuel line and injectors as a unit into the manifold. Tighten the fastening nuts to 12 Nm.
12. Connect the two ground wires.
13. Connect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose to the pressure regulator.
14. Install the injector connectors.
15. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position, but do not crank the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about two seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line will increase. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leaks.
