2. Carefully relieve fuel pressure.
3. Remove the air cleaner housing.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from each injector.
5. Disconnect the vacuum hose and fuel return hose from the pressure regulator.
Cover the hoses with a cloth before disconnecting.
6. Disconnect the two ground wires from the intake manifold.
7. Disconnect the fuel lines.
8. Remove the injector from the intake manifold.
Use new o-rings, oil seals and wear rings each time you disassemble. When installing the injector, check that the O-rings are installed correctly. Coat new seals with clean engine oil before reassembly. Install the injector, aligning the center line of the coupling with the index mark on the intake manifold.
9. Slide a new damping ring onto the injector.
10. Put a new sealing ring on the injector.
11. Press the gland into the intake manifold, install the fuel line and injector assemblies into the manifold. Tighten the fixing nuts to 12 Nm.
12. Connect two ground wires.
13. Connect vacuum hose and fuel return hose to pressure regulator.
14. Install the injector connectors.
15. Turn the ignition key to the ON position, but do not start the starter. After the fuel pump has been running for approximately two seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line will rise. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leaks.
