1. Turn off the ignition.
2. The resistor is located in the engine compartment on the left wing visor (inner surface) or on the shock absorber strut. Disconnect the electrical connector going to the resistor.
3. Remove or disconnect any harness clips or retainers holding the resistor harness.
4. Remove the mounting bolts holding the resistor; remove the resistor.
5. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
