Disassembling the intermediate shaft (Honda HR-V 1)

Note: Be careful not to damage the metal rings on the intermediate shaft during assembly.


1. Remove the retaining ring.

2. Remove the intermediate shaft outer seal from the bearing support.

3. Remove the outer ring clamp.

2. OUTER RING CLAMP
3. RETAINING RING. Replace
4. OUTER OIL SEAL. Replace


4. Using a special tool, press the intermediate shaft out of the shaft bearing as shown in the figure.

3. INTERNAL CLAMP
4. AXLE SHAFT BASE, 07NAF-SR30101
5. INTERMEDIATE SHAFT. Check for damage
6. BEARING SUPPORT RING. Check for damage and deformation


5. Remove the inner ring clamp.

6. Using a special tool, press the intermediate shaft bearing out of the bearing support as shown in the figure.
