The control valve box contains the main valve body, the control valve body and the servo valve body. The ATF pump is driven by splines on the left end of the torque converter, which is attached to the engine. Fluid flows through the control valve and maintains the set pressure from the main valve body to the manual control valve, supplying pressure to the gearshift valves and to each of the clutches through the solenoid valves. The shift solenoid valves A, B, C and E are bolted to the servo valve body. Electrovalves A, B and C for regulating pressure in automatic transmission clutches are installed outside the gearbox housing.
