2. Remove the brake pads.
3. Using a micrometer, measure the thickness of the disc at eight points, spaced approximately 45° apart and 10 mm from the outer edge of the disc.

Note: This is the maximum allowable difference between thickness measurements.
Brake disc thickness:

| Regrinding limit | 21.0 mm |
| Brake disc parallelism | max 0.015 mm |
4. If the smallest dimension is less than the regrinding limit, replace the brake disc.
5. If the parallelism of the brake disc exceeds the specified limit, regrind the brake disc on a car brake drum boring lathe. Kwik Lathe machines manufactured by Kwik-way Manufacturing Co. are recommended for this operation "Front Brake Disc Lathe", offered by Snap-on Tools Co.
