Checking the runout of the front brake disc (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely. Remove the front wheels.

2. Remove the brake pads.

3. Check the disc surface for damage or cracks. Clean the disc thoroughly and remove all rust.

4. Securely fix the disc to the hub using suitable flat washers (A) and wheel nuts, tightening the nuts to the specified torque.



5. Install the indicator, resting its head on the brake disc, as shown in the figure, and measure the runout at a distance of 10 mm from the outer edge of the disc.

Brake Disc Runout: Limit: 0.10 mm

6. If the disc runout exceeds the specified limit, regrind the brake disc.

Regrinding limit; 21.0 mm

Note:

• If the brake disc is not within the regrinding limit, replace it.
• A new disc must be re-ground if its runout exceeds 0.10 mm.
