2. Remove the brake pads (see above).
3. Check the disc surface for damage and cracks. Thoroughly clean the disc and remove all rust.
4. Fix the disc securely to the hub with wheel nuts and suitable flat washers, then install the indicator as shown and measure the runout at a distance of 10mm from the edge of the disc.
Brake disc runout: Limit: 0.10 mm.
5. If the runout of the disc is more than acceptable, regrind the brake disc on a lathe to bore the brake drums on the car. Kwik Lathes manufactured by Kwik-way manufacturing Co. are recommended for this operation. and machine tools «Front Brake Disc Lathe», offered by Snap-on Tools Co.
Grinding limit: 21.0 mm.
Note: A new disc must be reground if its runout exceeds 0.10 mm.
