Front brake discs — thickness and parallelism check (Honda Avancier 1)

1. Check for cracks, excessive scoring and stepped wear due to wear on the friction surfaces of the disc.

2. Measure the thickness of the disc at a distance of 10 mm from its edge at 8 points with a step of approximately 45°.



The minimum thickness is compared with the maximum.

Brake disc thickness

Standard:

• 2WD models: 23.0 mm
• 4WD models:.28.0 mm

Limit:

• 2WD models: 21.0 mm
• 4WD models: 26.0 mm

Disc non-parallelism (maximum difference between measured values):

• Limit: 0.015 mm

3. If the disc thickness is less than the limit, replace it. If the non-parallelism exceeds the limit, grind the disc.
