CV joint covers for half-axles and drive shafts — check (Honda CR-V 1)
The CV joint boots are checked at every oil change or every time the vehicle is lifted. If on adjacent parts (brake caliper, drum, on the inside of the wheel disc, etc.) if traces of thick grease are observed, the covers are damaged and should be replaced immediately. Covers should also be changed if visible damage is detected. To check, straighten the cover (photo).
