Transfer case (4WD) — checking for play (Honda Avancier 1)

1. Set the selector lever to position N.

2. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the transfer case.



Apply alignment marks to the contact surfaces of the propeller shaft and transfer case.

3. Install the indicator on the coupling flange and measure the backlash of the hypoid gear.

• Standard clearance: 0.06-0.16 mm

4. If the measurement result is outside the standard range, remove the transfer case and perform adjustment, refer to the MC/MD Transfer Case Operation Manual (60PCJ00).
