Checking the cylinder head for warpage (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Remove the cylinder head.

2. Check the camshaft.

3. Check the cylinder head for warpage. Measure along the edges and in three directions through the center.

• If the warpage is less than 0.05 mm, regrinding of the cylinder head is not required.
• If the warpage is between 0.05 and 0.2 mm, regrind the cylinder head.
• The maximum thickness of metal removed during regrinding is 0.2 mm with a head height of 104 mm.

Cylinder head height: Standard (new): 103.95-104.05 mm
