1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely. Remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the cotter pin (A) from the ball joint of the tie rod end and unscrew the nut (B).
3. Separate the tie rod end from the steering arm on the shock absorber using a special tool.
4. Loosen the bolts and remove the wheel sensor wiring harness bracket (A) and brake hose bracket (B) from the shock absorber. Do not disconnect the connector from the wheel sensor.
5. Loosen the shock absorber tie bolts (A), holding the nuts (B).
6. Unscrew the flange nuts (A) on top of the shock absorber.
7. Lower the lower arm and remove the shock absorber assembly (B).
