Rear door glass adjustment (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Remove the lower trim panel of the rear door.

2. With the help of a partner, remove the rear door glass support posts on both sides. Hold the glass when opening and closing it.

3. Slightly loosen the bolts, screws and nuts.

4. Adjust the position of the rear door glass (A) in the following order:

  • Adjust the rear door glass hinges (B) up and down and achieve the required gap between the glass and the rear door.
  • Adjust the rear door glass hinges (B) to the right and to the left, respectively, and align the gap between the rear door glass and the rear light on both sides. Adjust the latch loop at the same time.
  • Adjust the rear door glass lock (C) inside and out and achieve a flush fit of the rear door glass with the rear door at the bottom edge. There should be no gaps between the rear door glass stops (D) and the rear door glass on either side.
  • Adjust the latch loops (E) to the right and to the left, until they are centered in the rear door glass lock.

5. Tighten all bolts, screws and nuts securely.

6. Make sure the rear door glass opens properly and locks securely.

7. Install the support posts securely.



8. Install the rear door lower trim panel.

9. Check for water leakage. Pour water onto the roof and sealing area as shown in the figure, taking into account the following:

  • Use a 12mm diameter hose (A).
  • Adjust the water flow as shown (B).
  • Do not use attachments.
  • Keep the hose 300mm away from the rear door (C).
