Rear wheel bearing — adjustment (Honda Accord 3)

1. Apply lubricant to the spindle nut and spindle threads.

2. Install and tighten the spindle nut to 24 Nm. Rotate the drum/disc by hand 23 turns, then re-tighten the spindle nut to 24 Nm.

3. Repeat step 2 until the spindle nut remains tightened to the specified torque after turning the disc or drum.

4. Loosen the spindle nut to 0 Nm (until the nut stops turning).

5. Tighten it to 5.5 Nm.

6. Position the pin holder so that the slots are as close to the hole in the spindle as possible.

7. Tighten the spindle nut just enough to align the slot and hole, then secure it with a new cotter pin.
