Carefully inspect the valves, check for cracks on the valve chamfers, traces of uneven wear, metal erosion and burnout. Check for cracks in the necks and rods, as well as bending of the rods by rolling the valve on a smooth surface (photo). Check the wear of the cracker grooves and the uniformity of the rod wear. The diameter of the rod should not be less than the standard by more than 0.025 mm. Check the valve play in the sleeve by shaking it from side to side. Check the condition of the valve heads, the presence of burns along the edges, melted chamfers and "concavity" of the valve head plane (to do this, you need to compare all the valves with each other). Replace worn or damaged valves.
