The engine removal procedure is discussed above in this Chapter. When disassembling the engine, mark the initial installation order and orientation of the units, assemblies, wires and hoses to be removed. This remark especially applies to the timing mechanism parts of twin-shaft engines (DOHC engines) - camshafts and tappets for the intake and exhaust valves, which are often no different in appearance. Before disassembling, prepare the necessary tools and equipment. Disassembling a dismantled engine begins with removing the cylinder head (the removal procedure is discussed above) and checking the condition of the gas distribution mechanism parts.
