Withdrawal
1. Turn off the air safety system (Ch. 6).
2. On CR-V and Odyssey 76 vehicles, remove the steering column by doing the following:
- a. Remove the steering wheel
- b. Remove the bottom cover of the imported panel and knee pad.
- c. On vehicles with automatic transmission, set the selector to position N and disconnect the cable from the selector.
- d. Remove the combination switch.
- e. Designate the relative position «steering shaft clamp and remove the clamp.
- f. Remove the steering column mounts.
3. For 4 cylinder Odyssey:
- a. Remove the lower cover of the imported panel.
- b. Remove the steering column covers.
- c. Disconnect the 7- and 8-pin wiring connectors.
- d. Turn away bolts and nuts of fastening of a steering column.
- e. Lower the steering column.
4. Insert shear screws and drill out.
5. Turn the ignition key to position "I".
6. Press on the latch at the top of the clamp and remove the clamping lock.
Installation
7. On CR-V and 4-cylinder Odyssey vehicles:
A. Turn the ignition key to position "I".
b. While pressing the ignition key, insert the ignition lock until it clicks into place.
8. On Odyssey V6 vehicles, install the ignition lock housing; the key is not inserted).
9. Install shear bolts.
10. Install the key and check the care of the ignition switch.
11. Tighten the shear bolts until the heads snap.
12. Align the steering column marks and tighten the bolts.
13. Connect wiring.
14. Install column shrouds.
17. Install the dashboard cover and knee pad.
18. Bring Pneumatic Safety Systems Ready (Ch. 6).
