2. Disable the SRS air safety system (see Ch. 6).
3. Remove the following parts and panels:
- glove box,
- driver's side knee pad,
- central floor section
- -. drink holder in the central part of the dashboard,
- container in the central part of the instrument panel,
- receiver and heater control panel,
- central panel with ventilation nozzles and switches.

4. Remove the instrument panel (see Ch. 6).
5. Disconnect the driver's side airbag connector and lower the steering column.
6. Disconnect the connectors at the top left of the relay and fuse box under the instrument panel. Remove the fasteners and move the fuse box to the side.
7. Disconnect the antenna wire, remove the wiring fastening brackets.
8. Remove the connector holder from the instrument panel frame.
9. Loosen the glove box retainer bracket nut.
10. Move the door seal aside and remove the windshield corner trim.
11. Release the hook under the corner of the windshield by lifting the front of the instrument panel side trim.
12. Disconnect the stereo system's tweeter connector (if provided).
13. Disconnect the passenger side airbag connector and remove the 2 nuts directly above the connector.
14. Unscrew the 10 instrument panel mounting bolts:
- 2 bolts on the left side of the panel,
- 2 bolts in the instrument panel opening,
- 2 bolts on the right and left sides in the opening of the central section,
- 2 bolts on the right side of the instrument panel in the glove box opening and to the right of the corner of the windshield.
15. Carefully lift and remove the panel, making sure all connectors, brackets and clips (latches) are removed.
13. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
