Shock Absorber/Spring Replacement — Assembly (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Install all components except the shock absorber washer and self-locking nut onto the shock absorber assembly, referring to the exploded view (A). Insert the bottom of the spring (A) into the ledge on the lower spring seat (B) and align the base of the shock absorber as shown.



2. Install the shock absorber assembly onto the strut spring compressor (C).

3. Compress the shock absorber spring.

4. Place the washer (A) and new self-locking nut (B) onto the shock absorber rod.



5. Secure the shock absorber rod with the Allen key (C) and tighten the self-locking nut to the specified torque.
