Locking the doors is accompanied by a single flash of the direction indicators. Unlocking the doors is accompanied by a double flash of the direction indicators.
Note: The remote keyless entry system will not operate if the ignition key is in the ignition switch, any door is not closed properly, or the transmitter battery is dead. For battery replacement procedures, see Chapter "Body electrical equipment".
4. Models equipped with the "SMART KEY" system.
To unlock/lock the side doors and the trunk lid using the "SMART KEY" key fob, press the corresponding button.
Models since 2006 with "SMART KEY" key fob.
You can also unlock/lock the doors and the back door if the "SMART KEY" key fob is in your pocket or bag.

The doors will unlock automatically when you approach the vehicle and grab the handle of any of the front doors or the handle of the rear door.
