Transfer case — removal and installation (Honda CR-V 1)

1. Raise the front of the vehicle.

2. Drain the fluid from the box and remove the mud deflector.

3. Disconnect the transmission cable.

4. Mark the position of the propeller shaft on the transfer case flange and disconnect the shaft.

5. Loosen the bolts securing the rear stiffener and transfer case, remove the case.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Replace the O-ring (photo). Tighten the gearbox mounting bolts to 44 Nm.
