The relay supplies power to the fuel pump, idle air control system and injectors. During the first 2 seconds after the ignition is turned on, the relay control winding is connected to ground via the processor PCM unit. If the engine does not start, the PCM unit disconnects the relay winding from ground, thereby interrupting the fuel pump supply.

1. The relay is located:
  • on CR-V models - in the passenger compartment on the passenger side, under the instrument panel,
  • on Odyssey 2.2/2.3L models - in the passenger compartment on the driver's side, under the instrument panel,
  • on Odyssey V6 models - to the left of the steering column, under the instrument panel

2. Apply voltage from the battery to terminal 3, connect terminal 2 to ground and check the circuit between terminals 2 and 5.

3. If there is no circuit, replace the relay.

4. If there is a circuit, connect terminal 4 to the positive terminal of the battery, connect terminal 2 to ground and check the circuit between terminals 2 and 5.

5. If there is a circuit, then the relay is working properly. Otherwise, replace the relay.
