Removal
1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Drain the coolant.
3. Remove the camshaft belt.
4. On Odyssey V6 models, remove the camshaft belt tensioner.
5. Loosen the bolts securing the pump to the cylinder block and remove the pump. If removal is difficult due to corrosion, screw 2 M6x1.0 bolts 25 mm long into the threaded holes in the pump and, by turning the bolts, remove the pump.
Installation
6. Clean the separating surfaces of the pump and cylinder block. Install a new O-ring onto the pump, lubricating it with non-drying sealant.
7. Install the pump in place and tighten the bolts to a torque of 12 Nm.
8. On Odyssey V6 models, install the camshaft belt tensioner.
9. Install the camshaft belt.
10. Further assembly is carried out in reverse order. Pour in the liquid. On 4-cylinder Odysseys, bleed the cooling system by removing the bleeder screw and filling the radiator and reservoir.
