Cooling system fan — removal and installation (Honda CR-V 1)

1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

2. Disconnect the wiring connectors from the fans.

3. To expand the working space, it is recommended to drain about 3 liters of liquid and remove the upper radiator hose.

4. On Odyssey V6 models, do the following:
  • a. Remove the battery.
  • b. Remove the wiring trays and the relay/fuse box mounting post from the battery bracket, remove the bolts and remove the battery bracket.
  • c. Remove the holders and remove the wiring harnesses from the upper radiator bracket, disconnect the connector from the air conditioner clutch.

5. Remove the fan casing bolts.

6. Remove the fan. On Odyssey V6 models, remove the fan assembly from the battery side.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
