Upper arm
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the rear wheel.
2. Unscrew the bolts securing the lever to the body. Remove the lever.
3. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the bushing from the body side with silicone grease.
Lower arm
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the rear wheel.
2. Unscrew the through bolts of the inner and outer bushings.
3. Unscrew the stabilizer rod nut.
4. Remove the lower arm.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the outer bushing with silicone grease.
4-cylinder Odyssey
Upper arm
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Unscrew the bolts securing the lever to the body.
3. Unscrew the ball joint bolt of the lever.
4. Press out the ball joint.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the body side of the bushing with silicone grease.
Lower arm A
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Unscrew the inner sleeve bolt.
3. Unscrew the nut and remove the lower arm.
4. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Lubricate the inner bushing with silicone grease.
Lower arm B
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Place the jack under the spring rest on the lever and lift the lever.
3. Unscrew the bolts securing the knuckle and shock absorber on the lower arm.
4. Compress and remove the shock absorber.
5. Lower the jack and remove the spring and support cups.
6. Mark the position of the eccentric washer of the inner sleeve.
7. Remove the inner bushing bolt.
8. Remove the lower arm.
Installation
9. Lubricate the inner bushing with silicone grease.
10. Install the lower arm. Insert the through bolt and screw on a new nut.
11. Install the spring support cups.
12. Install the spring. Align the edge of the spring with the recess on the spring cup.
13. Raise the lower arm with a jack and compress the spring.
14. Tighten the shock absorber and knuckle bolts by hand.
15. Place the jack under the knuckle. Raise the knuckle so that it takes the weight of the car and tighten the fasteners to the specified torque (Nm):
- inner sleeve nut 54
- 2 bolts 103
- shock absorber nuts 38
16. After removing the car from the jack, check the alignment of the rear wheels.
Odyssey V6
Upper arm
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Unscrew the bolt securing the upper arm to the body.
3. Unscrew the upper arm ball joint bolt.
4. Press out the ball joint.
5. Remove the upper arm.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Lower arm A
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Remove the lever by unscrewing the nut and bolt.
3. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the fasteners to the torque (Nm):
- nut 64
- through bolt 93
Lower arm B
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Remove the spring.
3. Mark the position of the eccentric washer of the bushing.
4. Remove the inner bushing bolt.
5. Remove the lever.
Installation
6. Install the lever, insert the bolt and screw on a new nut. Orient the washer according to the mark.
7. Install the spring.
8. Place the jack under the lever and compress the spring. Tighten the bushing nut to 83 Nm.
9. After removing the car from the jack, check the alignment of the rear wheels.
