Rear hub (4-cylinder Odyssey): 1, 13 Nut; 2. Fist; 3. O-ring (replace); 4. Brake shield; 5. Washer; 6. Hub nut; 7. Wheel mounting nut; 8. Wheel cover; 9. Hub cap (replace); 10. Screw; 11. Brake disc; 12. Hub
Attention! The bearing can only be replaced together with the hub.
Removal
1. Raise the car, remove the rear wheel.
2. Set the car to the parking brake.
3. On the Odyssey V6, release the parking brake, remove the drum cap and remove the drum. If the drum cannot be removed, screw 2 8x1.25 mm bolts into the drum holes and remove the drum, tightening the bolts one by one.
4. On 4-cylinder Odysseys, remove the caliper bracket bolts, move the caliper to the side and secure it with wire, remove the brake disc mounting bolts, release the parking brake and remove the brake disc.
5. Unlock the hub nut by bending the flange. Unscrew the nut.
6. Unscrew the nut and remove the bearing assembly with the hub.
Installation
7. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Wash the hub in solvent. If the bearing is damaged, replace the hub. Clean the brake shield and drum. On an Odyssey V6, replace the hub cap.
