4. Set the front wheels to the straight-ahead position.

5. Using a special tool, loosen the lock nut of the guide rack screw.

6. Loosen the guide rail screw.

7. Tighten the guide rack screw to 5 Nm (0.5 kgf/m), then loosen it. Repeat twice.

8. Tighten the guide rail screw again with a force of 5 Nm (0.5 kgf/m), then unscrew it to the required angle. The required angle is 10-15°.

9. Tighten the lock nut to secure the guide rack screw.

10. Check the steering play when turning the steering wheel from lock to lock.

11. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

12. Perform the following checks:
  • Checking the steering (see above)
  • Checking the power steering on a stationary vehicle (see above)
