1. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Open the lid and place a support underneath it.
3. Remove the side window trim from the latches.
4. Remove the side caps from the lid handle, unscrew the screws and remove the lid.
5. Remove the latches and brackets and remove the lower trim panel of the back cover.
6. Pry up and remove the rear light lens, unscrew the screws and disconnect the connector.
7. Remove the screws of the middle brake light by unscrewing the screws.
8. Unscrew the spoiler bolts.
9. Close the cover and move the spoiler back to remove the latches, lift the spoiler and disconnect the washer pipe and connector.
10. Remove the rear cover spoiler.
11. Disconnect the connectors, remove the staples and remove the wiring harness from the cover, attaching a wire to the end of the harness to retract the wiring during assembly.
12. Unscrew the hinge mounting bolts on the lid (the assistant must hold the lid) and remove the back cover.
13. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
