2. Disconnect the battery from ground.
3. Outline the contours of the hood hinges.
4. Disconnect the windshield washer hoses and wires that may interfere with the removal of the hood.
5. Ask an assistant to hold the hood, unscrew the bolts securing the hinges to the hood and remove the hood.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Align the marks made during removal and tighten the hinge bolts. Adjust the hood if necessary.
Adjustment
1. Loosen the hinge mounting bolts (to the hood or to the body) and move the hood to the desired position, then tighten the bolts slightly.
2. When adjusted correctly, the hood should be flush and the gap with adjacent body panels should be the same around the entire contour of the hood. Repeat adjustment if necessary. Additional adjustment is provided by shims under the hinges. After completing the adjustment, tighten the bolts. It is prohibited to adjust the hood by moving the latch.
3. Adjustment of the hood height from the lock side is achieved by rotating the rubber buffers.
