1. Install the input shaft bearing into the clutch housing if it was removed. Install a new seal.

2. Install the Primary and Secondary shaft bearings on the gearbox housing.

3. Install the shift rod so that the locking holes face down. Install the spring and detent ball. Push the ball in and insert the rod completely.

4. Install the traction guide and tighten the bolt to a tightening torque of 30 Nm.

5. Connect the selector lever to the shift rod guide and install the shift lever holder. Tighten the long bolts to 15 Nm and the short bolt to 12 Nm.

6. Install the differential assembly into the clutch housing.

7. Install the primary and secondary shafts, 1/2 and 3/4 shift shafts and both shift forks as one assembly.

7. Install the primary and secondary shafts, 1/2…

8. Raise the input shaft and insert the locking pin into the selector lever. Set the shift rod to neutral.

9. Engage the locking pin with the selector lever, 1/2 and 3/4 gear shift shafts. Engage the shift guide with the shift lever.

10. Install the 5th/Reverse shift shaft and insert its pin into the groove on the reverse shift fork.

11. Insert the shift guide shaft until it fits into the hole in the clutch housing. The end of the shaft should not protrude more than 13 mm from the retainer. Do not proceed with assembly until this tolerance is maintained.

12. Install the input shaft bearing retaining plate. Tighten the bolts to 28 Nm.

13. Install the intermediate gear and reverse shaft.

14. Install the reverse light switch with a new washer.

15. Thoroughly clean and dry the mating surfaces of the gearbox and clutch housing. Install a new gasket on the clutch housing.

16. Shift the transmission to 3rd gear. Install the transmission housing, carefully aligning the shafts. The shift guide shaft should fit into the plugged hole in the housing. Do not use force when installing.

17. Tighten the bolts to 28 Nm, observing the correct sequence.

18. Install the detent balls, new washers, springs and lock bolts. Tighten the bolts to 22 Nm.

18. Install the detent balls, new washers,…

19. Install the secondary shaft 5th gear pinion with the concave side down. Install the spring washer with the concave side facing the 5th gear pinion.

20. Install the sealing cuff and needle bearing on the input shaft.

21. Install the 5th gear of the primary shaft.

22. Install the synchronizer parts on the primary shaft: locking ring, spring ring, hub and clutch.

23. Insert the 5th gear shift fork into the synchronizer sleeve and insert the cylindrical pin.

24. Install the spring washer with the concave side towards the synchronizer hub.

25. Install the input shaft holder (tool 079236890101) and shift the transmission into reverse.

26. Insert the locknuts of the primary and secondary shafts. Tighten them alternately to a torque of 90 Nm, loosen them, and again "tighten" to the specified torque.

The input shaft lock nut has a left-hand thread.

27. Clean the mating surfaces of the crankcase and end cover. Install the end cover together with a new gasket. Tighten the bolts to 12 Nm.

28. Install the retaining ring into the axle bore in the crankcase, aligning the protrusion on the ring with the groove in the crankcase.

29. Lubricate and install new axle seals using punch 07749-0010000 and attachment 07947-6110500.
