Disassembly
1. Remove the roll pins from the 5th/reverse shifter and from the other shift fork shaft.
2. Remove the 1/2 gear shift fork and shift fork shaft from the 5th gear shift fork.
3. Remove the 5th/reverse shifter, 3rd/4th shift fork and 5th shift fork from the shift fork shaft.
Inspection
1. Inspect the shift fork bores for scoring and excessive wear.
2. Inspect the fork pawls for cracks and wear.
3. Inspect the shafts for scoring, damage and excessive wear.
Assembly
1. Install the 5th gear fork, 3/4 gear shift fork and 5th gear/reverse switch to the shift fork shaft and insert the roll pin.
2. Install the shift fork shaft and 1/2 gear shift fork into the 5th gear shift fork and insert the roll pin.
