1. Remove the reverse light switch. Remove the reverse idler shaft bolt and washer.
2. Remove the shift lever cover assembly. Remove the bolt from the retainer and lock pin. Pull out the lock pin, remove the shift lever with boot, shift lever arm, oil seal and retainer from the gearbox housing. Inspect the bore and locking lugs of the shift lever arm, shift lever, and retainer for nicks, flaking, cracks, and wear.
3. Turn off bolts of fastening of a case of a transmission from a case of coupling.
4. Remove the 32mm seal bolt from the rear of the crankcase.
5. Through the hole, decompress the retaining ring of the ball bearing on the output shaft and remove it from the groove.
6. Lift the gearbox housing off the clutch housing.
7. Remove the oil corrugation, thrust gasket (gaskets) and oil guide plate from crankcase.
8. Before removing the reverse shift fork, measure the gap between the reverse shift fork and the 5th gear/reverse shift shaft latch pin. The tolerance is 0.05-0.5 mm. If the tolerance is not met, then measure the width of the L-shaped groove in the reverse shift fork. The maximum allowed width is 7.25 mm. If the width is greater, then the fork should be replaced.
9. Measure the clearance between the reverse idle gear and shift fork. The tolerance is 0.05-1.8 mm. If the tolerance is not met, then remove the fork and measure the distance between the pawls of the fork. The tolerance is 13.0-13.3 mm. If the distance tolerance is not maintained, the plug must be replaced.
10. Remove the reverse shift fork if not already removed. Remove the output shaft and reverse idle gear from the clutch housing.
11. Remove the input shaft and output shaft assemblies along with the shift fork assembly with thrust washer.
12. Remove the differential assembly from the clutch housing.
13. Remove the input shaft bearing and oil seal from the clutch housing (clutch side).
14. Remove the output shaft needle bearing from the clutch housing using an adjustable bearing puller 07736-A01000A and a hammer.
15. Remove the differential oil seals.
