1. Pull back the rubber boot and loosen the lock nut.
2. Disconnect the end of the cable from the drive rod.
3. Disconnect the connector and vacuum hose from the check valve. Release the ventilation hose from the bushing.
4. Remove the mounting bolts and the drive with the bracket and vacuum reservoir.
5. If necessary, disconnect the end of the cable from the connection to the accelerator pedal, then turn the bushing on the heat-insulating baffle 90° and remove the cable.
6. If necessary, the solenoid valves can be removed from the drive.
To install:
7. Install the solenoid valve assembly if it was removed. Install the actuator and vacuum reservoir.
8. Connect the vacuum hose to the check valve. Pass the vent hose through the grommet and connect the connector.
9. Connect the end of the cable to the drive rod. Connect the cable to the accelerator pedal if the cable was disconnected from the pedal.
10. Check that the drive cable moves smoothly and without jamming.
11. Start the engine. Measure the travel of the drive rod until the cable begins to act on the accelerator (engine speed begins to increase). The free travel should be 11 mm.
12. If the clearance exceeds the specified limit, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjusting nut.
13. Tighten the lock nut again; recheck the free play of the rod.
14. Test drive the vehicle, checking the operation of the cruise control system.
