Disassembling the transfer case holder (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Cut off the lock nut retaining tabs using a chisel. Do not allow cut off particles to enter the transfer case driven gear.



2. Secure the transfer case shaft (A) with a 14 mm wrench (B) in a vice, then loosen the lock nut.



3. Remove the lock nut (A), tapered spring washer (B), tapered roller bearing (C), 25mm thrust washer (D), transfer case shaft spacer sleeve (E), transfer case pinion gear (F), and transfer case shaft assembly (G) from the transfer case holder (H).
