Checking the clearance of the reverse gear shift fork (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Measure the clearance between the reverse idler gear (A) and the reverse shift fork (B) using a feeler gauge (C). If the clearance exceeds the specified limit, proceed to step 1. 2.

Standard	0.20-0.59 mm
Limit	1.2 mm

2. Measure the width of the reverse shift fork.

• If the width is different from the standard, replace the reverse gear shift fork with a new one.
• If the width is within the normal range, replace the reverse idler gear with a new one.

Standard: 13.4-13.7 mm
