Checking the gaps
1. Measure the clearance between the reverse shift fork holder and the 5th/Reverse shift pin.
2. If the gaps exceed the specified limit, measure the width of the grooves in the reverse shift fork holder.
- Standard A: 7.05-7.25mm
- Standard B: 7.4-7.7 im
If the groove width is different from the standard, replace the reverse shift fork holder with a new one.
If the groove width is within the acceptable range, replace the 5th/Reverse shift pin with a new one.
3. Measure the clearance between the reverse idler gear and the reverse shift fork holder.
- Standard: 0.5-1.1mm
4. If the clearance exceeds the specified limits, measure the width of the reverse shift fork holder.
If the width is different from the specified limits, replace the reverse shift fork holder with a new one.
If the width is within the acceptable limits, replace the reverse idler gear with a new one.
