- a. Drain the engine oil.
- b. Secure the winch chain to the engine.
- c. Disconnect the ball joints of the lower suspension arms.
- g. Unscrew the rear support mounting bolts.
- d. Unscrew the front support mounting bolts.
- e. Unscrew the ATF filter mounting bolt (automatic transmission).
- g. Use a marker to make alignment marks on the reference lines that align with the centers of the rear subframe mounting bolts. Remove the front subframe.
2. Remove the stiffener (k24A1 engine with manual transmission).
3. Remove the bolts/nuts securing the oil pan.
4. Drive a special cutter between the oil pan and the cylinder block.
5. Remove the oil pan by tapping with a hammer on the side of the special cutter along the entire perimeter of the oil pan.
6. Remove the oil pan.
