Airbags

Reference!
  • In minor collisions, the airbags do not deploy.
  • Because airbags deploy very quickly, contact with them can cause burns, abrasions and bruises.
  • The deployed airbag deflates quickly and does not obstruct the view.
  • The deployment of the airbag is accompanied by the appearance of white smoke, which is not a consequence of any fire. This smoke does not have any negative impact on the human body. However, if foreign particles get into your eyes or on your skin, wash them off with water as quickly as possible.
  • If your skin is hypersensitive, irritation may occur.
  • Airbags cannot be reused. To replace them, contact a service station.

  • When performing repair work near the steering column, instrument panel or center console, or when installing a radio, the airbag system may be accidentally damaged. Therefore, before carrying out this type of work, be sure to consult a service station.
  • If not used correctly, airbags may deploy unexpectedly.
  • When replacing the suspension, the ride height or suspension stiffness may change and the airbags may deploy unpredictably.

This lamp is located on the dashboard and signals a system malfunction.

In normal condition, after turning the ignition key to position "II", this lamp lights up for approx. for 6 seconds and then goes out.

Caution! If the indicator lamp:
  • Lights up while driving;
  • Does not light up in position "II" of the ignition key or does not go out after approx. 6 sec after engine start;
  • it can be assumed that the system is faulty and it is necessary to undergo diagnostics at a service station.
