Adjusting the position of the front and rear side door latch hinge (Honda CR-V 2)

Make sure the door locks securely without slamming. If necessary, adjust the position of the latch hinge (A): The latch hinge nuts are fixed, but the hinge can be adjusted slightly up or down and in or out.

1. Loosen the screws (B), then insert a napkin (C) between the body and the hinge.



2. Tighten the screws lightly.

3. Wrap the hinge with a napkin, then adjust the position of the hinge by tapping it with a plastic hammer (D). Do not tap the hinge too hard.

4. Loosen the screws and remove the cloth.

5. Tighten the screws lightly.

6. Grasp the outside handle, press the door against the body and ensure that the hinge position provides a flush fit. If the door locks properly, tighten the screws and retest.
