Withdrawal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
Attention! If the stereo system installed in the car is equipped with a security code, before disconnecting the battery, make sure that you have the correct combination to activate the audio system!
2. Chock the rear wheels and apply the parking brake. Jack up the front of the car and place it on jack stands.
3. Remove the crankcase protection.
4. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter (see chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance).
5. Unscrew the exhaust pipe section from the exhaust manifolds (see Section Removal and installation of exhaust manifolds) and catalytic converter flange (see chapter Power and exhaust systems). Remove section of reception pipes of system of release of the fulfilled gases.
6. Give fixing bolts/nuts and lower the pallet. To loosen the bolts on the timing belt side of the sump, use a 1/4" flexible ratchet wrench with a wrench. "addicted" The drip tray can be separated from the unit by prying with a blunt screwdriver inserted between the lugs.
Attention! Never insert a screwdriver between the mating surfaces of the pallet and block!
Installation
1. Gently scrape off all traces of sealant and old gasket material from the mating surfaces of the sump and block. Thoroughly wipe the mating surfaces with a rag soaked in acetone.
2. Clean and dry the threaded holes in the block.
3. Check the condition of the oil intake assembly and the patency of its strainer (see Section Removal, condition check and installation of the oil pump).
4. Place a new gasket on the mating surface of the pallet.
5. Gently press the tray against the unit and screw on the fasteners. Tighten the fastener to the required torque in three stages. Start tightening the fasteners in the direction from the center to the edges of the pallet, alternately moving from one side to the other. Remember that overtightening fasteners is fraught with the development of leaks.
6. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order to the dismantling of the components. Don't forget to add new oil and change the oil filter (see chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance).
Attention! If the oil pump has been replaced, start pouring oil only 20 minutes after assembly, allowing the sealant to harden.
7. Fill with engine oil (see chapter Settings and ongoing maintenance), start the engine and check the sump for leaks.
