1. Disconnect the wires from the battery and remove the battery.
2. Raise and securely support the vehicle.
3. Remove the air intake hose, air cleaner box and battery tray.
4. Disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle control lever.
5. Disconnect the transmission ground cable and speed sensor connectors.
6. Disconnect the starter wires and remove the starter.
7. Loosen the rear support bracket nut. Remove the bolt and then remove the rear support bracket.
8. Remove the speed sensor without disconnecting its hoses.
9. Disconnect the shutoff solenoid valve and shift control solenoid valve connectors.
10. Drain the transmission fluid and reinstall the drain plug with a new washer.
11. Disconnect the gearbox cooling hoses from the butt pipes and muffle them.
12. Remove the central beam.
13. Disconnect the oxygen sensor connector.
14. Remove the exhaust pipe and mudguard.
15. Remove cotter pins and nuts of spherical support of the lower levers. Use an appropriate puller to separate the ball joints from the lower control arms.
16. Pull the right and left axle shafts out of the differential. Pull the inner CV joints and remove the right and left axle shafts.
17. Remove the right shock absorber pinch bolt and separate the fork and shock absorber.
18. Turn off bolts and a nut and, then, remove the right reactive draft.
19. Put on and tie plastic bags over the ends of the axle shafts.
20. Remove the torque converter cover and shift cable retainer.
21. Remove the shift cable from the control lever by pulling out the cotter pin, control key and control lever roller.
22. Remove the plug, unscrew the bolts of the drive disk one at a time, turning the crankshaft pulley.
23. Turn off the back fixing bolts of a case of a transmission located from outside the engine.
24. Turn off bolts from a back fastening arm of the engine.
25. Hook lifting devices to the transmission lifting brackets. Raise the engine slightly to take the weight off the engine mounts.
26. Place a suitable jack under the gearbox and raise it slightly to take the weight off the supports.
27. Turn off 4 fixing bolts of a case of a transmission and 3 nuts of a fixing bracket.
28. Move the gearbox away from the engine until the 14mm pins are exposed and then jack the gearbox down.
For installation:
29. Check that the two 14mm pins are in place in the torque converter cover.
30. Raise the gearbox to its original position and insert the 4 gearbox housing mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 65 Nm.
31. Install the gearbox mounting bracket and tighten the nuts to 39 Nm.
32. Remove the transmission jack.
33. Insert 2 crankcase mounting bolts from the engine side and tighten them to a torque of 65 Nm. Insert the bolts of the rear engine mounting bracket and tighten them to a torque of 55 Nm.
34. Attach the torque converter to the drive plate with eight bolts. Tighten them crosswise in two steps - first to 6 Nm and finally to 12 Nm. After tightening the last bolt, check for rotation.
35. Install the shift cable and its holder. Tighten the cable holder bolts to 18 Nm.
36. Install the torque converter cover and tighten the bolts to 12 Nm.
37. Remove lifting devices.
38. Install jet thrust. Tighten the fixing bolts to 105 Nm and the nut to 44 Nm.
39. Install the shock absorber. Tighten the shock absorber coupling bolt to a torque of 4L Nm.
40. Install a new adjusting ring on the end of each axle shaft.
41. Turn the right steering knuckle fully outward and insert the axle into the differential until the spring clip snaps into place in the differential side gear. Repeat this procedure on the left side.
42. Insert the shock absorber yoke bolts and ball joint nuts into the lower arms. Tighten the nut to 55 Nm while holding the damper fork bolt from rotating. Tighten the ball joint nut to 55 Nm and insert a new cotter pin.
43. Install mudguard, center beam and exhaust pipe. Tighten the central beam bolts to 39 Nm.
44. Connect the oxygen sensor connector.
45. Install the speed sensor and tighten the bolt to 18 Nm.
46. Install the rear support bracket. Tighten the fixing bolt first to 39 Nm and then the nut to 21 Nm.
47. Install the starter. Connect the starter wires.
48. Connect the shut-off solenoid valve and shift control solenoid valve connectors.
49. Connect speed sensor connectors and transmission ground wire.
50. Connect transmission cooling hoses to pipelines.
51. Install the battery tray, air cleaner box, and air intake hose. Install the battery.
52. Install the wheels, lower the car and connect the wires to the battery terminals.
53. Fill the gearbox with the required amount of the appropriate fluid.
54. Start the engine, apply the parking brake and shift the gearbox in all gears 3 times. Take a short break before each switch. Check that the control cable is properly adjusted.
55. Let the engine warm up to operating temperature in the N or P position, then stop the engine and check the fluid level.
