Fuel injectors — testing (Honda HR-V 1)

1. Disconnect the connector from the fuel injector and measure the resistance between the 2 terminals of the fuel injector. There should be a resistance of 12-15 ohms.

1. Disconnect the connector from the fuel…

  • If the resistance is different from the specified value, replace the fuel injector.
  • If the resistance is within tolerance, check the fuel pressure (see above).

If the fuel pressure is within normal limits, check the following:
  • Is there a short circuit, open circuit or loose connection in the BLACK/YELLOW wire between the PGM-FI main relay and the connector?.
  • Is there any breakage or rust in the connecting connector?.
  • Is there a short circuit, break or loose connection in the BLACK/YELLOW wire between the connector and the fuel injector?.
  • Is there a short circuit, open circuit, or loose connection in the wire between the fuel injector and the ECM/PCM module?.

If everything is OK, check the ECM/PCM module.
