2. Align the alignment pin (A) on the rear balance shaft with the mark (B) on the oil pump.
3. Secure the rear balance shaft by inserting a punch into the hole in the rear balance shaft through the access hole in the lower balance shaft bracket.
4. Apply engine oil to the threads of the oil pump sprocket mounting bolt (A).
5. Install the oil pump (B), then install the oil pump sprocket (C).
6. Remove the punch (D).
7. Tighten the oil pump mounting bolts.
8. Compress the new oil pump drive chain tensioner (A), then install the retaining clip (B) on it as shown in the illustration.
Note: A retaining clip is supplied with the oil pump drive chain tensioner.
9. Install the oil pump drive chain tensioner (A).
10. Remove the retaining clip from the oil pump drive chain tensioner.
11. Install the oil pan.
