Checking the oil pump (Honda CR-V 2)

1. Remove the pump housing.



2. Check the radial clearance between the inner (A) and outer (B) gears of the oil pump.

If the clearance exceeds the wear limit, replace the oil pump.



Radial clearance between internal and external gears

Standard (new)	0.02-0.16 mm
Limit	0.20 mm

3. Check the axial clearance between the housing (B) and the gear (A) of the oil pump. If the clearance exceeds the wear limit, replace the oil pump.



Axial clearance between housing and gear

Standard (new)	0.02-0.07 mm
Limit	0.12 mm

4. Check the radial clearance between the housing (B) and the outer gear (A) of the oil pump. If the clearance exceeds the wear limit, replace the oil pump.



Radial clearance between housing and outer gear

Standard (new)	0.15-0.21 mm
Limit	0.23 mm

5. Check both gears and the pump body for burrs or other damage. Replace components if necessary.
