Note:
- When pressing components with a flat-head screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage and apply tape to adjacent components.
- It's a good idea to have a partner when removing and installing the instrument panel.
- Avoid scratching the instrument panel, body and other adjacent components.
- Wear protective gloves.
1. Make sure you have the security code for your car radio. Also write down the frequencies of the radio stations with fixed tuning.
2. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait at least three minutes before starting work.
3. Remove the following components:
- Lower instrument panel cover on the driver's side.
- Lower dashboard panel on the driver's side.
- Glove box.
- Lower dashboard panel on the passenger side.
- The lower cover of the central section of the instrument panel.
- Passenger side air vent grille.
- Front pillar trim, on both sides.
- Wheel arch panels, both sides.
- Steering column.
- Parking brake lever.
- Only on vehicles with automatic transmission: Disconnect the automatic transmission control cable.
From the driver's side:
4. At the bottom of the panel, disconnect the passenger compartment wiring harness connector (A), the driver's door wiring harness connectors (B), the connector (C) from the brake pedal position switch, and the connector (D) from the clutch switch (on models with manual transmission). Remove the relay (E) from the bracket and disconnect the engine compartment wiring harness connectors (F) from the under-dash fuse/relay box (G). Left-hand drive model shown; the layout on the right-hand drive model is similar.
Middle section:
5. Remove the rear heater ducts (A). Disconnect the connector (B) from the SRS control unit, the floor wiring harness connectors (C), the engine compartment wiring harness connectors (D), and the heater intermediate wiring harness connectors (E).

From the passenger side:
6. At the bottom of the panel, disconnect the passenger door wiring harness connectors (A), roof antenna connector (B), antenna wire (C), ECM/PCM connector (D), and engine wiring harness connector (E).

7. Separate all harnesses and remove connector clamps.
8. From the outside of the driver's door, remove the plugs (A), then unscrew the bolts (B, C, D) and nut (E), lift the instrument panel (F) and separate it from the guide pins (G, H) on the body. When removing the instrument panel, unscrew the center frame mounting bolts (I), then remove the center bracket (J) from the center frame (K). The illustration shows a left-hand drive model; the arrangement on the right-hand drive model is symmetrical.
9. Carefully remove the instrument panel through the front door opening.
10. Automatic transmission models only: Remove the center bracket from the center frame.
11. Installation of the instrument panel is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- Make sure the instrument panel is seated correctly on the guide pins.
- Before installation, apply locking compound to the threads of the center frame mounting bolts.
- Install the center bracket onto the center frame and lightly tighten the mounting bolts. Install the instrument panel onto the body. After tightening both instrument panel mounting bolts and nut, tighten the center bracket and center frame mounting bolts.
- Before tightening the bolts, make sure that the wiring harnesses are not pinched.
- Make sure the connectors are securely connected and the antenna wire is connected properly.
- Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal.
- If provided, enter the security code for the car radio and the frequencies of the preset radio stations.
