Note:
  • It is a good idea to have a partner when removing and installing the steering bracket beam.
  • Avoid scratching the dashboard.
  • Wear protective gloves.
  • The picture shows a left-hand drive model; the arrangement on the right-hand drive model is symmetrical.


1. Remove the instrument panel.

2. Remove the following components from the instrument panel:
  • Instrument panel.
  • Instrument cluster.
  • Automatic transmission selector lever.
  • AVN block, on some models.
  • Car radio.
  • Passenger airbag.
  • Automatic air conditioner sunlight sensor.

3. Remove the bolts from the instrument panel.

6. From the back of the instrument panel, disconnect the connectors (A) from the tweeter (on some models) on both sides and a connector (B) from the glove box lighting lamp (on some models) and remove the harness clamps (C) and harness holders (D).

7. With the help of a partner, separate the instrument panel (A) from the steering bracket beam (B).

8. The beam is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • Make sure the instrument cluster wiring harness (C) is not pinched.
  • Make sure the connectors are connected securely.
