The order of tightening the bolts and nuts of the engine mounts
1. Install the top bracket and tighten the bolts and nuts in the order shown in the figure.
2. Install the stopper and connect the cable «masses».
3. Install the gearbox bracket and tighten the bolts and nuts in the order shown in the figure.
4. Establish a forward beam, combine labels and tighten bolts.
5. Tighten the tie rod bolts.
6. Tighten the rear bracket mounting bolts.
7. Tighten the rear mounting bracket mounting nuts and install the rear stiffener.
On 4WD models, degrease the mounting nuts and threaded rear mounting holes before installation.
8. Tighten the front mount bracket bolts in the order shown in the illustration.
9. After installing all components, perform the following checks and adjustments.
1) Before installing the drive and countershafts, clean the differential connections with flushing oil, blow with compressed air, and check that there are no foreign particles.
2) Carefully, without damaging the lips of the oil seal, insert the drive shaft and make sure that the set ring on the end of the shaft fits securely into the groove of the differential gear.
3) Adjust throttle cable (see ch. Engine management system).
4) Make sure that each position of the selector lever corresponds to the indication of the indicator. Adjust if necessary (see chapter Automatic transmission).
5) Adjust the alternator belt (air conditioning compressor belt) (see above).
6) Adjust the steering pump belt (see above).
7) Fill coolant and bleed air (see below).
Attention. When pouring coolant, be careful not to get coolant on the connectors, fuse box and other electrical components, as well as on the paintwork. If you are concerned that coolant may spill, cover the components with foil beforehand.
8) Fill with engine oil (see above).
9) Pour fluid into the gearbox (see ch. Automatic transmission).
10) If you turn the ignition key to the ON position (II) (not including starter), the fuel pump is switched on for approx. 2 sec. and fuel pressure rises in the fuel system. Repeat this action 2-3 times and check for fuel leaks in various parts of the fuel system.
11) Start the engine and check the correct operation of all systems.
12) Adjust the speed x.x. (see ch. Engine management system).
13) Check wheel alignment and adjust if necessary.
