Note: Mark the valves and valve springs as you remove them so that all components can be installed in their original positions.
1. Before installing the valve spring compressor, lightly tap the valve head with a socket of the appropriate diameter and a plastic hammer to release the crackers.
2. Install the valve spring compressor. Compress the spring and remove the crackers.
