Note:
- Before removing the belt, turn the crankshaft pulley so that the piston of cylinder No. 1 is at top dead center (TDC).
- Check the water pump before installing the timing belt.
1. Remove the mudguard.
2. Remove air intake B.
3. Disconnect the breather hose, then remove the air cleaner cover.
4. Disconnect the intake air temperature sensor connector (IAT), then remove the air intake.
5. Loosen the mounting and locking bolts, then remove the power steering pump drive belt (R/S) steering.
6. Loosen the center nut and idler adjusting bolt, then remove the A/C compressor drive belt (A/C).
7. Loosen the mounting nut and lock bolt, then remove the alternator drive belt.
8. Remove an arm And support of the engine.
9. Support the engine with a jack by placing a block of wood under the oil pan.
10. Remove the side support of the engine.
11. Remove the oil level gauge, then remove the top cover and idler pulley bracket.
Note: Do not use the top cover to store removed components.
12. Remove the oil gauge tube and bottom cover.
Note: Do not use the bottom cover to store removed components.
13. Loosen the adjusting bolt 180°. Press the tensioner and release the tension from the timing belt, then tighten the adjusting bolt again.
14. Remove the timing belt.
