Note:
- Before removing the belt, turn the crankshaft pulley so that the piston of cylinder No.1 is at top dead center (TDC).
- Before installing the timing belt, check the water pump.
1. Remove the mudguard.
2. Remove air intake B.
3. Disconnect the breather hose, then remove the air cleaner housing.
4. Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector, then remove the air intake manifold.
5. Loosen the mounting bolt and lock bolt, then remove the power steering (P/S) pump drive belt.

6. Loosen the center nut and adjusting bolt of the tension pulley, then remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor drive belt.
7. Loosen the mounting nut and lock bolt, then remove the alternator drive belt.

8. Remove engine mount bracket A.

9. Support the engine with a jack, placing a wooden block under the oil pan.
10. Remove the side engine mount.

11. Remove the oil level indicator, then remove the top cover and the tensioner pulley bracket.
Note: Do not use the top cover to store removed components.

12. Remove the oil level indicator tube and lower cover.
Note: Do not use the bottom cover to store removed components.

13. Loosen the adjusting bolt by 180°. Press the tensioner and release the tension from the timing belt, then tighten the adjusting bolt again.

14. Remove the timing belt.
